George Lythgoe – BEng Student
George is currently in the final year of his bachelor’s (BEng) in Electronic Engineering, graduating from Durham in June 2026. His dissertation, supervised by Roy and Benjamin Maddox, examines the construction of a design framework for microwave antenna in ultra-cold environments for quantum computing purposes. Along with his degree, he spent the summer of 2025 completing an internship where he developed advanced Deep Reinforcement Learning algorithms with GPUs for High Performance Computing purposes in Bristol.
