Jacky is currently pursuing a BEng in Electronic Engineering at Durham University, expected to graduate in June 2025. His capstone project, supervised by Roy, focuses on developing innovative wireless connectivity using textile metamaterials. This research aims to enhance security and improve energy efficiency by exploiting radio surface plasmons, potentially revolutionizing wireless communications in smart textiles and wearable technology. Beyond academics, Jacky serves as the President of the Brunei Durham Society. His role involves delivering well-being support sessions, resolving student inquiries, and authoring reports for the Brunei Student Union of the UK.
