Jacky Sua

Jacky completed his BEng degree from the Engineering Department, Durham University ini June 2025 specializing in Electronics. His final project, supervised by Roy, focused on investigating the feasibility of supporting surface plasmon polariton (SPP)-like wave behaviour on mesh-based transparent conductive films in the 2.4–2.5 GHz ISM band. This included the examination of the effect of source polarization and the structural contour variations on the wave propagation characteristics. The research aims to enhance security and improve energy efficiency by exploiting radio surface plasmons, potentially revolutionizing wireless communications in smart textiles and wearable technology. During his studies, Jacky served as the President of the Brunei Durham Society. His role involved delivering well-being support sessions, resolving student inquiries, and authoring reports for the Brunei Student Union of the UK.
