Kang Teng – MSc Student

Teng is currently pursuing his MSc degree in the Department of Engineering at Durham University. His dissertation project, supervised by Roy, focuses on epidermal antenna development. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in a university innovation project conducting research on neural networks and their applications in medicine. He also volunteered with the Shanghai Disabled Persons’ Federation for four consecutive years, providing psychological, academic, and life guidance to children of individuals with disabilities. After graduating, he worked for approximately six months at a company specialising in machinery for battery module production. Outside of his studies, Teng is an avid hiker and a member of the Hill Walking Club at Durham University. He also has a passion for art, believing that while science and technology improve people’s lives, art gives life its purpose, a philosophy he has reflected on through over five years of daily journalling.
